BSH employees cultivate continuous learning as a mindset

BSH employees cultivate continuous learning as a mindset

10 minutes

Keeping up is the name of the game in our world, which is changing faster than ever. This is particularly true when it comes to job qualifications. At BSH, we know how important it is to keep learning and to continue feeding the hunger for more knowledge. Our Global Learning Campus (GLC) is here to help our employees do just that: it offers learning options to help employees pick up new skills and inspires them to take that next step in both personal and professional growth.

A world of learning options

We understand that everyone learns differently. That’s why the GLC offers a variety of ways to learn – whether you like to go solo or learn with others:

  • Learn at your own pace

With platforms like Udacity, Coursera, GoodHabitz and GetAbstract you can dive into a world of knowledge. Our e-Universities and web-based training courses let you learn independently and at your own speed.

  • Share and grow through mentoring:

Mentoring is a great way to share what you know and learn from others. By helping someone else, you’re also strengthening your own skills and contributing to a team culture that values growth.

  • Learn together:

Our Brownbag sessions and other group learning activities are a great opportunity to connect with colleagues, share ideas, and broaden perspectives.

Learning is an ongoing adventure

Learning isn’t just about reaching a goal – it’s an ongoing adventure. Learning means growing and gaining knowledge and experiences that enrich your life. At BSH we’re here to support employees every step of the way.

Stay curious and keep learning! This is the GLC’s motto – one that our employees follow. Here’s what Franziska, Bartosch and Mine experienced during their learning journeys with Udacity.

Franziska Barnert
Data Expert Cross Innovation and Excellence, Center of Excellence CRM & App

Franziska Barnert has just completed the “AI for Business Leaders” executive program. She already had AI knowledge from her previous jobs, but the program helped deepen her knowledge and find practical applications for it in her new role at BSH’s Center of Excellence CRM & App.

“Driven by passion and curiosity, I expanded my voice interaction (NLP) skills with additional AI knowledge, prompting me to join the AI for Business Leaders program. The Nanodegree program allowed me to merge additional AI insights with my digital strategy expertise. I deepened my understanding of AI implementation and linked it to necessary skills, data and infrastructure. This is beneficial for the exchange and daily work between different teams. Udacity’s blend of theory and practical projects enhanced my innovative and critical thinking.”

Bartosch Alexander Pliszek
Head of Data Analytics & AI strategist

Bartosch has completed the AI Product Manager Nanodegree with Udacity. As Head of Data Analytics and AI Strategy, he aims to help his colleagues better understand and apply AI in their daily work. For him, staying up to date with the latest knowledge is essential. The course required a commitment of a few hours per week over several months, which he found manageable alongside a full-time job.

“I lead BSH’s AI culture initiatives, so enhancing my AI product management skills is crucial. The Udacity Nanodegree gave me advanced knowledge in AI, machine learning and product management. I learned to implement AI solutions more strategically, build quality datasets and design effective annotation. This enables me to lead AI projects more efficiently, optimizing operations and improving decision-making at BSH. I can now also use my strengths to manage and promote AI solutions, enhancing our data-driven strategies and user experience. Udacity provided practical, hands-on AI project experience and skills I can apply immediately in my work.”

Mine Tuna
Senior Data Scientist

Mine Tuna has completed a total of four Nanodegrees with Udacity, which is extraordinary. However, it’s not only about learning, but also about applying new skills to everyday work life.

“I’m passionate about continuous learning and professional development. Staying updated in AI is essential for me. The training gave me a deep understanding of advanced learning techniques, enabling me to build and train complex neural networks for tasks like image recognition and anomaly detection. The “Building Generative AI Solutions” Nanodegree equipped me to create AI models that generate new content. We’re now training a chatbot with our documents, which will soon provide accurate responses to queries, reducing user workloads. Udacity’s hands-on approach helped me grow as a data scientist, keeping BSH ahead.”
