Healthy and sustainable living – Bosch presents innovative and resource-efficient home appliances at IFA

Our home is a special place. It's not only a place where we can unwind, but also where we can shape our lives exactly how we want: healthy, sustainable and stress-free. Bosch understands how important this feeling of home is and develops products that are innovative, durable and resource-efficient, but most importantly, they contribute to enhancing this special sense of home. Bosch is therefore presenting its new products at IFA this year under the motto ‘There is no place #LikeABosch. Welcome Home.’  Among the highlights that Bosch is presenting this year are new ovens with Air Fry and steam function, the practical VitaPower Series 6 blender and the BetterFood app. When it comes to laundry care, new washing machines and the new microplastic filter help minimise environmental impact. And when you need things cleaner than clean, the cordless vacuum cleaner Unlimited 10 with patented MicroClean technology is there to help.

Even lower CO2 emissions in production, even more energy-efficient in consumption

In the fridge section, they also feature VitaFresh XXL, the Bosch freshness preservation system that keeps food fresh for longer and thus helps to reduce food waste. The extra-large drawers provide plenty of space and make it easier to organize food items. In the freezer section, the proven No Frost technology prevents the formation of ice crystals and eliminates the need for tedious defrosting. Another practical feature is Perfect Fit: The free-standing fridge-freezer combination can be placed directly against the wall and next to other furniture – there is no need to leave a gap to open doors and drawers.

All dishwashers in the Bosch Green Collection have energy efficiency class A. They are manufactured in Germany and CO2-reduced stainless steel is used in part during production², which has a CO2 footprint more than 40 percent smaller than conventional stainless steel³. In addition to more sustainable production, the dishwashers in the Green Collection also impress with their efficient drying technologies. With the eco-drying system Efficient Dry, the door automatically opens at the end of the Eco 50° program, allowing warm air to escape and the dishes to dry completely. In the PerfectDry dishwashers in the Green Collection, eco and zeolite drying are combined. This means that you will never again have to unload dishes that are poorly dried or still too hot. 

Store like a pro, cool like an energy champion

The new fridge-freezer combinations offer innovative solutions for every need. The Bosch energy champion is the free-standing Series 4 No Frost fridge-freezer combination with energy efficiency class A-10%. The Perfect Fit appliance can be placed directly against the wall and next to other furniture – there is no need for extra space to fully open doors and drawers. Fruit, vegetables, fish and meat find their place in the VitaFresh XXL fresh food system. IIn the freezer compartment, the practical No Frost technology aids in saving energy. It ensures that the air remains dry, reliably preventing frost formation and making manual defrosting a thing of the past. The two separate VitaFresh compartments with integrated climate control create the ideal environment for all fresh foods. Fish and meat stay fresh for longer at temperatures close to 0°C and vitamin-rich fruits and vegetables remain crisp for longer thanks to precise humidity control. This helps reduce food waste and promotes a sustainable lifestyle.

For anyone who needs even more space for fresh food, the free-standing XXL fridge-freezer combination from Series 8 is the right choice. It offers 621 litres of usable volume and has an EEK B rating. From baking trays to extra-large soup pots, there's room for everything. And if space does get tight, the freezer compartment can be converted into a cooling compartment in just four hours thanks to Flex Cool & Freeze technology.

Bosch also has a powerful and energy-efficient appliance for built-in kitchen owners: the built-in fridge-freezer combination from the Series 6 with a niche height of 178 cm. It has an EEK B rating and offers reduced energy consumption with optimal cooling performance. It is also equipped with VitaFresh and No Frost, meeting all kitchen demands.

A cold glass of water or a homemade lemonade with ice – a welcome refreshment on hot days. With the French Door fridge-freezer combinations from Bosch, this refreshment is always available. The integrated ice and water dispenser produces up to 5 kg of ice within 24 hours – making it the most powerful on the European market. Depending on the model, Bosch French Door fridge-freezers are equipped with a fixed water connection or a water tank.  The fridge-freezer combinations also feature a hands-free bottle filling function for water with adjustable fill height, so even larger cups or bottles for on the go can be filled with chilled water at any time. Within 24 hours, the ice and water dispenser can produce up to 5 kg of ice – equivalent to approximately 400 ice cubes or up to 30 glasses of ice-cold water. With up to 574 liters⁴ of usable space, the new French Door fridge-freezers from Bosch offer plenty of room for fresh food, fruits and vegetables, drinks and more. The larger interior provides an easier overview of all food items and maximum storage flexibility.

If you connect your French Door fridge-freezer combination to the Home Connect app⁵, you benefit from additional practical options. In the app, you can set the temperature for the fridge and freezer compartments, as well as turn on and off the Super Cool and Super Freeze options. Additional functions, such as the Sabbath mode, which disables all non-essential functions, or the vacation mode, which sets the fridge section to 14°C, can also be selected in the app.

More than just hot air 

The new Series 4 and Series 6 ovens are equipped with the Air Fry heating mode and a steam function. Air Fry makes it easy to prepare tasty dishes such as vegetable chips, chicken wings or fish sticks. The steam function helps to prepare delicious breads and juicy roasts. The appliances are also very energy-efficient with energy efficiency class A+. 

With the new Series 4 and Series 6 ovens, you can now prepare the perfect fries and more in your own kitchen. Air Fry kommt mit deutlich weniger Fett beim Frittieren aus. Air Fry uses significantly less fat when frying, making the prepared dishes lower in calories and a healthier alternative to conventional cooking methods such as deep-frying or pan-frying. The possibilities are diverse. With an integrated water tank of 220 ml capacity, steam can be added in combination with the 3D hot air heating mode which can be selected via the display.

The Series 4 and Series 6 ovens feature 15 automatic programs for different dishes, such as wheat bread, chicken or beef roulades. Five of these automatic programs include the addition of steam. This helps achieve perfect results when preparing flatbreads, wheat bread, reheating dishes and pizza or proofing dough.

The PerfectRoast roasting thermometer can be used in the oven, frying pan or on a barbecue grill in the garden and withstands temperatures up to 300 °C. The device can also be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth using the Home Connect app⁵. Once this is done, users can enter the desired core temperature and sit back and relax.

Maximum efficiency, minimal environmental impact

Slipping into your freshly washed favorite jumper can be a real feel-good moment. Bosch supports stress-free and sustainable laundry care. The new Series 6 and Series 8 washing machines help save energy, water, electricity and detergent with every wash cycle and reduce microplastics in waste water. The lineup includes Bosch’s energy-saving champion: The WGB244AW0 Series 8 washing machine is 50 percent more efficient than the best energy efficiency class A⁶. 

The new Series 6 and 8 appliances consume less energy than the best energy efficiency class A and include practical functions to ensure that the laundry comes out of the dryer just the way users want it. The Series 8 washer-dryer combines intelligent solutions for washing and drying delivering the best results. Anyone who also wants to reduce microplastics to a minimum during laundry care, uses the new microplastic filter from Bosch. The new microplastic filter from Bosch can be attached to any washing machine or washer-dryer and helps to reduce microplastics in waste water. The new microplastic filter from Bosch captures up to 97 percent of microplastic particles from a wash cycle⁷. The appliance offers the most flexible installation options on the market and requires no drilling at all. 

The new Bosch Series 6 washing machines are not only good for your laundry, but also for the environment. Those who also want to reduce ironing effort can use the Iron Assist program. This program treats dry laundry with steam, reducing ironing effort by up to 50 percent⁸. Also helpful is the steam option, which adds a steam phase at the end of a wash cycle, reducing creases by up to 40 percent⁹. If you want to further reduce your energy costs, consider the Series 6 BiThermic washing machine from Bosch. Not only does the appliance have energy efficiency class A, but it also uses pre-heated water to save energy costs during the washing process. Thanks to the additional use of hot water, up to 60 percent electricity can be saved¹⁰ – especially beneficial for users with a photovoltaic system. In addition, with the ActiveWater Plus function, the appliance uses up to 50 percent less water for a small load¹¹. 

The new Series 8 dryer from Bosch excels in three key areas: It is the fastest, most energy-efficient and quietest appliance in the Bosch dryer range. Thanks to Vario Speed, it can dry up to nine kilograms of laundry in under three hours while being 10 percent more energy-efficient than the best energy efficiency class A+++. Additionally, it offers intelligent functions that add more convenience to everyday life, including Auto Dry and Smart Dry. Those looking to minimise ironing time can use the Iron Assist function which treats dry laundry with steam to significantly reduce creases and cut ironing time by up to 50 percent¹².

The Bosch Series 8 washer-dryer can wash and dry up to six kilograms of laundry in one cycle or wash up to 10.5 kilograms of laundry. It is the first washer-dryer with i-DOS and detergent scan for the optimal dosage for each wash cycle. This can save around 38 percent of detergent¹³.

From clean to spotless – with the Unlimited 10

The new cordless vacuum cleaner Unlimited 10 sets new standards in floor care. It vacuums with patented MicroClean technology, which removes even particles invisible to the human eye. The patented MicroClean nozzle eliminates all types of dust and dirt from all types of floors. Particularly convenient: the new cordless vacuum cleaner also achieves top cleaning results in reverse motion. Coarse debris on hard floors can be reliably picked up with both forward and reverse vacuuming movements. Whether it’s truly clean is determined by the MicroClean sensor. It detects even microscopic particles as small as 0.3 micrometres that are invisible to the human eye. Users only need to look at the MicroClean ring for confirmation – no bending down, finger testing, or the like is necessary. Once the ring glows fully blue, no more particles are being vacuumed in and the surface is perfectly cleaned. The brush roll can be easily removed for thorough cleaning. In addition to the well-known Auto, Turbo and Eco power levels, the Unlimited 10 also offers three special cleaning modes, including the "Fine carpets" mode. This mode cleans carpets gently yet effectively, preserving their beauty for a long time. 

Not only are all surfaces cleaned with the Unlimited 10 but thanks to the HEPA filter system¹⁶, more than 99.99 percent of dust particles are filtered out of the air¹⁷, preventing them from re-entering the room. The combination of various filters, seals and the special airflow design in the dust box ensures that the exhaust air is cleaner than normal room air – ideal for allergy sufferers. 

Also practical: thanks to dust compression, the dust box needs to be emptied up to 50 per cent less often¹⁴. And when it is time to empty it, the process is much more hygienic, as the compressed dust and dirt can be simply pushed out of the dust box without creating a cloud of dust.

New: exclusive Cookit Black Edition

For those who want to add black accents to their kitchen, Bosch now has something special to offer: the Cookit, the kitchen machine with cooking function, winner of the Stiftung Warentest¹⁵ test, is now also available as a Black Edition. It supports users with many programs and functions, ensuring that nothing stands in the way of enjoyment in the end. Frying up to 200 degrees, a 3-liter XL pot that provides enough space for large family portions and seven professional tools and accessories included – the Cookit leaves nothing to be desired. The wide selection of over 3,500 free recipes, which is updated weekly, ensures variety on the dinner table. These are available directly on the appliance, in the Home Connect app⁵ and at simply-cookit.com. The features of the Cookit are also continuously being developed. At the request of many users, for example, a link to the Bring! app has recently been made available.

Full power for a healthy lifestyle: the VitaPower Series 6

Another new kitchen appliance is the VitaPower Series 6 blender from Bosch. With 1,800 watts and up to 45,000 revolutions per minute, it brings maximum power to the kitchen – the highest performance Made in Europe. The VitaPower Series 6 ensures the best results in pureeing, chopping and blending and provides smooth textures even with hard ingredients. And for on the go? The blender detects the ToGo bottle and adjusts the automatic programmes accordingly.

Individual and personalised: Eat better with Bosch BetterFood

Anyone looking for delicious and healthy cooking inspiration can use the new Bosch BetterFood app. The free recipe app supports conscious and sustainable eating in everyday life. By setting your preferred dietary style in the app, all recipes are automatically tailored to your preferences and needs. The app also offers nutrient ratings at a glance, detailed nutritional information per recipe and the optimal settings for connected home appliances.
