BSH Austria extends donation pledge to SOS Children’s Village for three years.

BSH Austria extends donation pledge to SOS Children’s Village for three years.

Reading time: 5 minutes

To provide children and young people with special moments, BSH Austria is extending its long-standing partnership with SOS Children’s Villages. BSH Austria will continue to support the organization with donations in kind and cash. In addition to high-quality household appliances for SOS Children’s Village kitchens, BSH also participates in several fundraising campaigns that benefit the organization.

The kitchen is the heart of a home and the center of the family

BSH's long-standing cooperation with the SOS Children's Village in Austria revolves around the kitchen as a social hub and the associated values such as community, healthy nutrition, sustainability and security. Cooking together and sharing meals is an important part of SOS Children's Village family life, providing the children with a sense of security.

Throughout Austria, the facilities can continue to rely on Bosch household appliances. BSH has been supporting SOS Children's Villages in Austria for many years with needs-based donations of high-quality household appliances, as well as cash donations and joint activities. The commitment to donate the Bosch-branded household appliances needed by the respective facilities, worth up to 30,000 euros per year, has now been extended once again for another three years.

Additional cash donation in a challenging year

In addition to the pledge for donations, Alexandra Dietmair, Commercial Director of BSH in Austria, also presented a check for a monetary donation of 20,000 euros to Alexander Mairginter of SOS Children's Village.

"We are delighted that, even in difficult times, we have BSH at our side, a partner that so reliably supports the mission of SOS Children's Villages. The need-based donations in the form of high-quality Bosch household appliances make a huge difference to the quality of everyday life at our facilities. With the support of additional monetary donations, we create many unforgettable moments for children and young people, such as a trip to the climbing park, a snack on the mountain pasture, or simply a visit to the cinema," said Mairginter at the check presentation.

"After a challenging but thoroughly successful year for us as a company, we are in the fortunate position of being able to make an additional financial contribution to those who may not be doing so well. We are pleased to be able to contribute a part to a new and functioning home and beautiful experiences for children and young people," says Alexandra Dietmair, Commercial Director of BSH Austria.

Total donations from Giving Tuesday and Christmas campaign

As part of "Giving Tuesday", SOS Children's Villages once again called for this "Day of Giving" on November 30 in 2021, following the consumer-intensive "Black Friday". For a special incentive, the amounts donated on this day are doubled by partners from the Austrian business community.

The BSH household appliance brand Bosch also participated in this campaign with a monetary donation of 5,000 euros. As promised in an Austria-wide Christmas campaign in December, Bosch Home Appliances will also donate five euros for every small appliance sold in the five Bosch Stores and the Bosch online store throughout Austria.

We are delighted to be a constant partner at the side of the SOS Children's Village and to be able to continue to bring joy to the children and young people there over the next three years.
